DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR U.S. SENATE 2016

Harbach sets record for signatures

Democrat Senate hopeful Scott Harbach obtained more than the required 2,000 signatures from Wisconsin voters and potential voters to get on the ballot.  The remarkable thing is, he gathered more than 2,000 signatures himself.  This was clearly much more than any other candidate seeking election and unofficially was a record in Wisconsin politics.  Wisconsin was declared the 30th state on May 28, 1848 and as far as we know,“…no candidate has ever gathered this many signatures for themselves (in 178 years) .”    A Wisconsin Government Accountability Board employee said that she was not aware of any candidate in Wisconsin that had ever gathered that many signatures for their own nomination, but was not sure if it was an all time record.

“Oh no, it’s a record,” said another federal candidate that was listening to the conversation.

How many signatures did the other two major U. S. Senate candidates gather themselves Harbach was asked.

“I’m not sure if they actually got any signatures for themselves, “said Harbach,   “It’s hard work approaching people and discussing issues with them on the street like this.  I talked to some people more than a half hour.  The others had interns and volunteers to gather the signatures for them, so they didn’t have to talk to the people.”

This verifies a major complaint of politicians being out of touch with people.  Well clearly Scott Harbach has proven that he is not that type of politician.

“I’m guessing I individually talked to more than 10,000 people; and I didn’t ask a single one for a campaign contribution either.”
